In backup/emergency power mode, the Backup Gateway 2 controls the connection to the grid connection, detects power failures and automatically switches to backup/emergency power mode.
The Backup Gateway 2 communicates directly with the Powerwall, allowing you to monitor and adjust your home energy usage and backup/emergency reserve with the Tesla app from any mobile device.
The Powerwall detects a power outage, disconnects from the grid and automatically restores power to your home in a few seconds.
With Powerwall's 4.6kW of power, your home or business keeps running almost uninterrupted.
In the Tesla app, among other things, the energy flow is illustrated. This flow of energy shows everything that happens in the house: electricity generation by the photovoltaic system, electricity flow to or from the Powerwall and the electricity fed into or taken from the grid. The values of the energy flow diagram are displayed in real time.
The history of the current flow can also be viewed using the Tesla Mobile App. To do this, any power source (photovoltaic, power wall or power grid) can be selected and a specific period of time can be called up in the bar graph that appears.
